PhotoCircle: Private Photo Sharing Review

PhotoCircle app for iPhoneSocial networking sites like Facebook and Twitter have become one of the most essential parts of sharing photos of my children to their grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. And while I don’t have a problem with sharing some photos on them, sometimes I just want to only share the photos to a select group of people without showing them to the world.
This is where iPhone PhotoCircle application comes in.

The app, which recently launched, allows you to share photos with private groups. It brings a bit of privacy back into our otherwise over sharing lives.
It’s not just for keeping photos of your children secure, safe and private. PhotoCircle
is for any photos you want to share with a select group of people. And it’s not just a one-way photo sharer.
When you’re together with friends you can create a PhotoCircle, share it amongst each other by being in proximity with each other or inviting them to the circle and then voila, just start uploading photos and everyone in the circle can enjoy.
I think this would be an awesome app to have at a concert or some big event where there a bunch of photos being shared. But remember, what happens in the circle stays in the circle.

PhotoCircle iPhone app. review

PhotoCircle itself is very simple app. to setup. Upon launching PhotoCircle, you are presented with the circles you’ve already created or joined for easy access as well as two simple tabs on the bottom — join and create. Tap on create to quickly start a circle by entering the title of the album such as 'Vegas Baby, Vegas' or whatever your imagination can dream up. If you’re nearby your friends, you can connect by holding your phones together and watching the magic happen. Or simply send an invite via email or text. It’s easy from there just start adding photos.
After you’ve created or joined a circle, the app allows you to comment on the photos as well. As for adding photos, you can add from your photo roll or take a photo on the fly. Oh, and you don’t have to stay by each other to see the photos being added. Once you’ve parted ways you’ll still see photos being added. Would be cool to use this app in a team scavenger hunt too.
PhotoCircle is a very straightforward and easy to use photo sharing app that brings privacy back into social when you need it. Definitely worth trying.
